Welcome to the Wishing Center! We're here to assist you in our mission to Wish up a better Dreamscape for everyone! Interested in exchanging your feathers? You've come to the right place. Peruse our exchange rate guidelines and then fill out the form below to submit your Wish request!

Feather Acquisition

Feathers are gained by making meaningful interpersonal connections and bonding with your fellow dreamers!

These “meaningful connections” are considered anything that could fall under the following categories:

New Friendship (What it says on the tin! Did you make a new friend today? Congratulations, you get a feather.) +1

Shared Hardship (Going through something together brings you closer!) +1

Vulnerable Conversation (Open up about your feelings or your past) +1

Physical Affection (Cuddling, hugging, kissing, holding hands, all that mushy stuff. Platonic or romantic!) +1

Romantic Moments (Starting a romantic relationship, falling in love, going on dates, or just sharing some time with that special someone) +1 ,except first-time love confessions, which are +2!

Newfound Respect (If you did something for someone that changed how they feel about you for the better, or someone did something like that for you.) +1, unless this is occurring with someone you previously had bad blood with, in which case it’s +2

Intimacy (Interactions of a "spicy" variety, if you catch my drift.) +2

Miscellaneous Emotional Milestones (this is a generous category for anything else that feels particularly important, subject to ODA approval) +1

Bonus feathers can also sometimes be obtained from sharing these connections with The Outsider themself. Isn’t that nice?

(NOTE: Feathers of each category can only be redeemed once per thread. Ex. you can have a thread that has a New Friendship and a Vulnerable Conversation and get feathers for both of those things, but if you have a single thread with multiple Romantic Moments, you can only redeem the Romantic Moment category once for that thread. Kissing a bunch in a single thread is not a viable get rich quick scheme.)

Feather-to-Wish Exchange Rate

Feathers can be exchanged for wishes of various sizes. Here are the available sizes and a rough idea of what idea of what might constitute a wish of that size, as well as its cost in feathers:



Another item you can redeem for feathers is an Emergency Wish, pictured above. This is a small glass sphere with a strange, swirling blue smoke inside. This will allow you to save a wish for later, if you are in trouble and need a quick fix. It will give the user any small wish, but it costs a bit extra because of its versatility at 5 feathers. It can be used once in any single thread without mod approval, but must be reported here when used. These can be useful during major events!

You can keep track of your own feathers! When you make a wish, the form will ask you to link threads where the feathers were acquired so that they can be verified.

Because I'm an absolute dunce and lost track of where the feather request was when I joined up...how far back can we provide proof for feathers? I'm assuming something reasonable like a month but just want to check before I sit down to submit threads.

No limit! Having one would probably encourage people to spend their dang feathers (so far only one wish has been made) but adding one now would just lose everyone a bunch of feathers. So, while this may change in the future, for now, there is no limit.

Wish granted, but with a small addendum!

While there's no rule against violence in the Dreamscape, the Outsider does not encourage it. As such, the gun has been modified to shoot jelly beans. These colorful projectiles will launch hard enough from the weapon to fly several yards and sting a bit if they hit someone, but are not particularly dangerous. They are also still edible and are in delicious gourmet flavors! You know, like a bag of fancy Jelly Bellies.

However, there are no visual differences to the weapon, so Barney will not be able to tell right away. It's up to you how he finds out!

If he wants to fire real bullets, he will need to have a word with the Outsider about why this is necessary/useful, but if he manages to convince them, they will fix it for no cost! However, he may end up finding this adjustment useful in the future.
